This special project is truly one of those “grand spaces” and no one in this part of the world can bring it like we do, hands down! We were charged with delivering wall and ceiling plaster finishes in this high-end residence in the Four Seasons New Orleans. The results, using a brilliantly glossed Grassello lime plaster, are nothing short of stunning!

When you enter the space, you are met with an octagonal foyer that continues to a hallway ending in the open-space living area. The walls in the foyer and hall are a brilliant blue tone that perfectly complements the dramatic vaulted ceilings’ lighter white blush color. The idea is that this area will feature an impressive artwork collection displayed on the foyer walls and in the six bays found down the sides of the hall. Both the walls and ceiling plaster will form a perfect setting for the artwork. It beautifully reflects and plays with the light – both from the delightful fixtures as well as the abundant natural light that becomes more prevalent as you move towards the living area.
As you enter the living area, the amazing views of the city are striking. The same plaster color as the foyer and hall ceilings was used in this area’s ceiling bays. It works wonderfully with the lighting around the bays as well as the natural light that shines through the large windows. We also did the same finish in the residence’s two bedrooms.
Here at Sylvia T Designs, we use artisan-level products that can’t be found in big box stores or your local paint shop. Their use requires great skill.
